I love Fall... I was born in September so maybe that's why I love walking in the

The frame is not only a great retro shape, but is textured and
kind of looks like

wood, I don't think I've ever had full - on writer's block — the
kind where a writer is paralyzed to the point where he or she can't get anything down on paper — but I do get days or weeks when nothing works, I don't get anywhere near enough written and what I do write is either awful or pointless (oh,
look, it's a cheesy dream sequence and four pages
of irrelevant waffle about some character's childhood).
I wanted them to
look very old, rustic barn
wood like, or maybe
kind of like railroad ties.
I've been thinking a lot about this area lately... Here is what is
looks like currently: The problem is, I could never really get the floating shelves to sit right on the wall because the
wood paneling is
kind of unlevel, and the wall isn't the straightest either.
I need a few boards for the deck (puppy chewed boards do not
look good),
wood filler to fix the inside puppy chewed baseboards,
kind of need new carpet for the kids» rooms, oh, and more Valspar paint to repaint the ugly, icky brown stained front door.
I popped in some reclaimed
wood steps under the runner in my drawing, because I thought some
kind of dark rustic
wood would
look pretty spiffy.
It
looks pretty old but, I
kind of like it with the other white
wood on the furniture.

I have a fifteen year old item which was painted white when I got it and had a
kind of natural
looking wood with a clear coat on it.
Reclaimed
wood is cool
looking so we decided that was
kind of what we were after.
Without knowing what
kind of sealant you have on your
wood, I'm not sure exactly how to direct you, but for the whitewashed
look, you want the watered down paint to soak into the
wood, which can't happen if it's sealed.

of the paint color and make it
look espresso like her crib.
