I haven't tried it
in any other size
pans as that is the only
springform I have, although it would likely
work in a 9 inch just be a bit thinner.
I did not make it
in a
springform pan for fear of it dripping out, and it
worked just fine
in an oval dish the first time, a square one the next.
Generously grease a 9
in cake
pan (
springform pan works great too) with coconut oil or butter.
My 9
in pan isn't
working (bottom keeps dropping out) all I can use is my 8
in springform.
Place the
springform pan in a larger shallow
pan (a roasting
pan works well here), and place
in the oven on the middle rack.
I give two options, choose which end result you prefer and go from there: bake without a
pan for a true gluten free artisan bread look or bake
in a round or
springform pan for a more rounded loaf that even
works well as a bread boule for soup!
Once you mix the pretzel crumbs with butter and sugar, place them
in the
pan — I used an 8 - inch
springform pan, but a large pie
pan would
work as well.
I had never heard of shoo - fly pie before this post, but do you think this muffin recipe would also
work as a cake cooked
in a
springform pan?
Alternately, you can put it right into a greased and floured loaf
pan (8x4
works great) for sandwich bread, or shape into a ball with a coating of flour on the outside to make a Boule / Country round loaf, or put
in mini
springform pans for crusty hamburger buns.
A
springform pan is ideal for this recipe since it releases
in a snap, but a regular cake
pan will
work, too.
