were critically lauded and remain perhaps his best
works.
The latest drama from Jason Reitman (Juno,
Up in the
Air) focuses on the evil that our current fascination with texting, social media and the Internets hath
wrought, from sexting moms and porn - addicted kids to Adam Sandler
being able to order a high - priced call girl from his laptop.
Everything
works here; the characters
are funny, the set -
ups are funny, the lines
are funny and even the odd moments of randomness (Mike Tyson singing «
In the
Air Tonight» has to
be seen to
be believed) don't seem too out there.
Cody
is best known for quirky comedy, as
is Reitman, who, when not
working with Cody, made both
Up In The
Air and Thank You For Smoking.
At first I assumed that this
was going to
be one of Clooney's films
in which he pushes his moral and political views to the fore (think Good Night, and Good Luck, Michael Clayton or
Up in the
Air) and whilst Governor Morris» policies
are clearly left wing wet dreams, the film's portrayal of what goes on behind the scenes
is so negative that it practically negates all the good
work Morris hopes to do when

Speaking of

in supporting for her

be right there every step of the way.
Like «
Air Force One,» there
's a certain comfort knowing that at least what a run - of - the - mill Hollywood screenwriter could come
up with wouldn't
work in the real world.
