work the same
with raw
goat milk for a non-vegan version?
Also, if he has issues
with goats milk powder, do ou think that using
goats milk turned into kefir could
work or too much overload for his belly?
I just want to make absolutely sure before moving forward this way, but I am fully on board
with supplementing (I'm preparing for the worst - case scenario as I return to
work within a week)
with goat's
milk formula.

Ingredients: • 1 pound pasta (of your choice, gluten free
works well
with this recipe) • 2 small acorn squash • 2 Tbsp olive oil • 1 medium onion • 1/3 cup fresh basil — washed and chopped • 1 tsp salt • 1 Tbsp coconut oil • 1 cup soft
goat cheese • 1 - 2 Tbsp rice
milk (original and unsweetened) Please note: the last 3 ingredients can be replaced
with one cup of heavy cream if cow dairy is not a concern for your family Instructions: • Cut squash in half and onions is quarters, drizzle
with olive oil • Place squash cut side down in a baking dish, surround
with the onions and cover
with aluminum foil • Bake at 400o for 30 - 40 min or until the squash is tender • Cook the pasta according to package directions • In a small sauce pan melt coconut oil, add
goat cheese and allow to melt — stirring consistently • Add rice
milk until desired consistency • Remove the squash flesh from the skin and place the flesh in the food processor
with the onion, salt and basil — puree until smooth • Slowly add the melted
goat cheese mixture while continuing to puree until you have a smooth sauce • Toss the squash / cheese mixture
with the pasta and serve this delicious healthy kids meal
My son has
milk allergies, like I do, so I started supplementing his breastmilk supply at four months (I had to return to
work so this effected my
milk supply)
with a combination of
goat's
milk, rice
milk and water (1/4, 1/4, 1/2).
Although the bulk of the commercial manufacturing uses cultures of bacteria, such as Escherichia coli or Chinese hamster ovary cells, a few biotech companies are trying to produce therapeutic proteins in the
milk of transgenic mammals (such as GTC Biotherapeutics, which is using
goats; PPL Therapeutics, which is using sheep; and BioProtein Technologies, which is
working with rabbits), transgenic chicken eggs (such as Avigenics or Vivalis), or even in transgenic crops (such as ProdiGene or Meristem Therapeutics); but it is early days for these «pharming» methods.
Sheep and
goat milk will also
work if you have a source for them,
with sheep
milk being extremely rich and sweet tasting, while
goat milk is tangier and a little more earthy.
I
milk my own Jersey, eat my own eggs and meat beef, chicken
goat; grow many of my own veggies year round, eat lots of cream and butter, the fat on my meat, bone broth; within the last year have given up vegetable oils except olive; gluten free for 2 years; very little organic cane sugar say less than 2 - 3 T. daily, many days none; wine and cheese of my own making, mostly my own and daily;
milk and / or water kefir daily;
work at home is my exercise along
with stretching; 90 % organix in everything.
I had a personal stake in
working with soy - I raise
milk goats, rabbits and chickens.
As above, the recipe
works better
with cow's
milk yoghurt rather than
goat's
milk yoghurt.

goat milk product, yougart, cottage cheese, ice cream, Eggs, peanut butter, jam, corn on the cob

Some find sheep and
goat milk cheeses to be more digestible, however, you will have to experiment
with types and amounts to see what
works best for you.
