Starting Point is a new annual opportunity open to recent graduate curators to
work with public collections of modern and contemporary art.
Candidates should have at least four years curating experience, be university educated (ideally to MA or PhD level) and have a proven interest or experience in
working with public collections of modern and contemporary art.

The Grunwald Center's comprehensive holdings of Kent's
work, which includes over 1,400 serigraphs along
with related drawings, sketches, and layouts, reflect the artist's desire that her

Over the years, La Salle de Bains has produced up to seven exhibitions a year,

Conceived and produced under the artistic direction of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the exhibition showcases key
works by Cheng in the framework of the Fondation's «Hors - les - Murs «program, destined to introduce previously unseen artworks from its permanent

Before opening the gallery Kate
worked on various projects in the visual arts for eight years, most recently as a curator for a private
collection, and as a co-ordinator on projects
with artists in
public spaces.
With a focus on Paolozzi's experimental output from the 1940s to the 1970s, it includes the decisive period he spent in Berlin in 1974 and brings together key
works by the artist from private and
public collections in many countries.
Select highlights include: Lisson Gallery's sale of an Anish Kapoor
work listed as # 1.2 Million; David Kordansky Gallery sold out its booth of Tala Madani paintings, ranging from $ 22,000 to $ 110,000 each, to both collectors and
public institutions; Hauser & Wirth placed paintings and sculptures by American artist Lorna Simpson
with both museums and private
collections, ranging from $ 150,000 to $ 300,000; David Zwirner sold out of
works by American sculptor Carol Bove, including four sculptures and one
work on paper at prices ranging from $ 50,000 to $ 550,000; Grimm Gallery completely sold out its stand, including
works by William Monk ranging from $ 20,000 to $ 26,000; and Mendes Wood DM sold
works ranging between $ 10,000 and $ 50,000.
This Award is the largest donation made specifically to a museum to enable them to
work closely
with their selected artist to directly commission a new
work for a
public collection.
