Working with one piece of dough at a time place a piece of
wax papper
over the dough and roll the dough as thin as you can, no thicker than 1/4 inch thick, but preferably an 1/8 inch thick (about the thickeness of a quarter).
When dough is the desired thickness and circumference, place a fresh piece of
waxed paper on top of the rolled out dough and flip the
works over on the counter.
Transfer almonds to a lined baking sheet (

works best) and make sure that they are distributed

work with this manufactured ingredient: 2 mg / m3 of fume exposure
over an 8 - hour workday.
It wouldn't be ideal for a full piece to use chalk paint
over the
wax because I would be worried about adherence, but when doing an accent like a whitewash, the incredible adherence of chalk paint
works just fine.
To answer your questions:
Working in small sections, I used the dark
wax over everything (distressed and painted parts) and then wiped off the excess with a damp cloth.
I then
work the brush back and forth
over the dresser making sure to get the
wax into all the crevices and any details the piece may have.
Most poly manufacturers (including GF) specifically say their product will not
work correctly
over wax.
Unluckily I was at
work all day Friday feeling like death warmed
over and getting worse as the hours
waxed on.

wax over her chalk paint, but I will guess that it would
work over regular paint too.

In Helen Frankenthaler's monumental and stoic prints, made in collaboration with Mixografia
over the course of three years, she
worked with a range of materials from
wax to plaster, allowing her physical interaction with the materials to let the images come forth.
One section of the coloured bands is a distorted image of Caster Semenya (a South African middle - distance runner who has appeared in several
works by Dordoy), intersected by a black - and - white image of an outstretched hand holding a lit candle, the melting
wax pouring
over the side of the palm.

The glaze went on well
over the clear
wax, allowing me to
work the glaze into all of those nooks and crannies.
Once you go to paint
over the
wax - there is no extra prep
work needed.

wax that was left

waxing a spot and then poly
over that thinking the poly might not a sort and change the color so much but that didn't
work either.
This furniture belonged to my parents so I felt the same way as you, I wanted to try to make it
work somehow... I sure did use ASCP on the hutch — It's Old White with clear
wax and then a bit of dark
wax over that.
I've used polyurethane
over chalk paint and polycrylic (messy to
work with too many drips etc), but not
wax, from what I've read it isn't the best choice for a high traffic area or piece?
It is a little more
work having to
wax over it, but that is what makes the finish look so good.
Then immediatley apply the Dark
Wax over the Clear
Wax using a separate
wax brush while the Clear
Wax is still wet
working it in to any textures.
