FSBO companies is a simple reflection of that fact.
The only difference is that the
FSBO seller on MLS now is forced to encounter REALTORs
working for buyers more directly and frequently than when they advertise only on pure
FSBO sites.
Consumers either want valuable guidance, protection, hard
work and marketing services from someone dedicated to helping them, and to pay for it, or they want to pay as little as posisble to get some exposure for their
FSBO.
Although this is not the proper forum to have a discussion on fees I also fail to see how providing advice (as you indicated you do) to
FSBO's and
working within the sphere of organized real estate whilst using the umbrella of a discount brokerage can possibly add any value to our industry.
Then, in an about - face, some of those same
FSBO sites scrambled to develop partnerships with brokers willing to
work in this slice of the market.
We decided right away to go with
FSBO because we felt the market was hot enough and wanted to save a few bucks, but it did not
work out for us.
How about those agents who
work with buyers for nearly a daily basis for weeks at a time showing them houses all for them to change their mind and rent for another year or buy a house from a
FSBO seller who won't pay a commission that agent will make 0 even a negative amount considering gas and time they spent.

I have seen way too many unsuspecting
FSBO sellers hoodwinked into a huge upfront fee just to throw a listing up on the public mls website without being educated about how organized real estate really

worked approximately 85 % with buyers and any listings that I secured were
FSBO's.

work in your words... the concept is not to EXCLUDE showing listings that may meet the clients» needs, just because a property is a
