It's a new year, time to evaluate what is working and what is not
working in our homeschooling.

Of course,
homeschooling, the ultimate
in putting parents
in charge of their children's education and the historical model which
worked for 230 years, is legal and practiced
in all fifty states.

homeschool highschool (depending on your state's laws)

work and helping all their children have the most qualified instructor available.

in our 3 year old's

If you look at a school - at - home style of
homeschooling, one
in which the mother assigns
work, gives tests, and prescribes a set of a «must - do's» as «hands on», then I suppose the opposite of that would be hands off.

in public school) attended toddler tumbling and mom classes, was a
homeschooling parent for one of my kids with leaning disabilities, I didn't have to scramble to figure out what to do about
work or where to take my kids for child care if they were sick, I led and was involved with the church groups with my kids, I spent summers with them doing all kinds of things like traveling, visiting grandparents out of town, amusement park trips, swimming, picnics, and hiking, instead of them being stuck with a sitter every summer.
Though they differ a bit
in the years during which they require a child to be schooled — children may be required to start school at age 5 — 8 and not allowed to leave until age 16 — 18 — they all require public schooling or acceptable substitutes (for example, private school,
homeschooling), with criteria set by the state for how this
works.
If you're not into the side effects your family experiences from the traditional education system
in your area, then it's a lot more
work to try and undo the «damage» of that experience
in your family as opposed to seeking alternatives like
homeschooling or unschooling.
As a parent to a toddler and a therapist who has
worked in both private and public school settings, this book peaked my curiosity and my desire to learn more about the
homeschooling lifestyle.

in 5th grade, Jermarion tends to do best
