Mom had thrown

of lead solder and an «Archer» soldering gun, which still
works after 50 years, even the little light on the front!
What I tried to do was come up with common characters we face at
work — like the «manterrupter» who interrupts you in a meeting, or the office
mom who ends up taking on the mother lode
of menial tasks — as well as some
of the internal barriers, like the feeling
of being an imposter, and then digging through the research to find
out how you can push back against these things.

It's Mother's Day Weekend, so we're paying tribute to all
of the hard -
working moms out there.
Her
mom was a house flipper turned independant contractor and her dad has been at the same company his whole career — so their family would move to cities his company would let him
work out of and her
mom would flip houses there.
She was an academic - turned stay - at - home -
mom writing a dissertation, and I was a full - time teacher -
mom driving 45 minutes to and from
work with 2 young kids, one who puked regularly

Let's face it: We are unlikely to find a single party that truly represents a «culture

moms into our homes and churches, reach
out to the lonely and disenfranchised, address the socioeconomic issues involved, and engage in some difficult conversations about the many factors that contribute to the abortion rate in this country, (especially birth control).
A lot
of that was
out of necessity since she was a
working Mom with 5 kids.
By the time I rub the sleep
out of my eyes and roll
out of bed on the weekends, my parents already ran (
Mom) or hiked (Dad) 6 miles
of hills, drank a chai latte (
Mom) or black coffee (Dad), drove to Target (
Mom) or Home Depot (Dad), typed
out 20 +
work emails (both), and showered (both).
My
mom passed when I was in high school so it all kind
of worked out that I got a couple years extra with her when i was a wee young» in.
If you're like my
mom, you may be weirded
out by the idea
of a sweet potato dessert (to be fair, she's also one
of those anti-pumpkin people), but but BUT, think about it... sweet potato adds moisture just like pumpkin, but it's sweeter, so it
works perfectly in these little spiced cakes.
I think it was seeing my
mom in the audience
of The Rosie O'Donnell show made me think, «Holy crap» I think I'm going to make something
out of all this hard
work... if you
work hard, somebody is going to take notice.

of the essence for
moms and the budgets tighter than ever

I find that I've been getting sick often with cold / flu due to lack
of sleep (got two young kids - one 2yo and 5 months old,
working mom) with exclusively pumping and seriously need to figure
out how to sleep longer.
I don't know, but that tends to be how it
works out, which is clearly a giant bummer for
moms who are already exhausted and full
of doubt.

Crying it
out is not
working just as many
of you other
moms are finding and the only thing left is try my best to be the mother that my boy needs and not the mother I think I should be.
Anyway, my nonscientific observation is that stay - at - home
moms worry about potty training earlier than
work -

moms, most likely because they're actually having to do all
