Plus, the keyboard also
works as a trackpad and you can swipe on to navigate the screen.

Miss CrackBerry's 9981 has been really glitchy
as of late too, with the touchscreen often not responding and then the
trackpad not responding (then both
work for a while, then go back to one or the other not responding).
We've also heard that BlackBerry 6 will
work well with non-touchscreen input
as well and it looks like it should suit the optical
trackpad.
Although BlackBerry has put in a ton of
work to make sure their apps and the OS are
working well with the
trackpad, there's still a lot of
work to be done by others
as some apps just simply don't play well with the
trackpad and some, such
as Android apps, may never play well.
Of course, the optical
trackpad works as it did on previous devices, giving you an additional option for navigation and interaction, although we found we used it sparingly.
The analog sticks are still in the same place
as are the shoulder buttons but the DualShock 4 Controller now has a touch sensitive
trackpad (
works extremely well in Killzone Shadow Fall) and my favourite element, the ability to connect an external headphone to the controller which is probably the best idea ever in a gaming controller.
The «Basic Input» function
works well, allowing you to use your phone's screen
as a
trackpad to control the mouse cursor.
The keys have a slightly rubbery feel when you press down that is soft and pleasant without feeling mushy, and the glass
trackpad works as well
as any you'd find on a MacBook.
Some questions still remain surrounding the S9's DeX dock, which is capable of
working as a laptop - like
trackpad.
As an example: my
work earbuds (Tao Tronics Go Sport Minis) seem to cause the Bluetooth stack in OS X Yosemite to go haywire if I go out of range, to the point where my Bluetooth keyboard and
trackpad don't
work too.
The backlit keyboard and the accompanying
trackpad function
as expected and are pleasant to
work with through an entire day, but they don't go above and beyond what you'd expect from laptop input devices — especially on a slim model like this XPS.
Unlike with the Palm Foleo and the Motorola Atrix, the Razer Phone's screen acts
as the
trackpad in Project Linda, and it
worked well when I tried it at CES 2018.
If that doesn't sound like enough inputs, remember that the Steam
trackpad works both for movement and
as a configurable button pad, depending on if you hold a command or just quickly tap it instead.
There's a
trackpad below the standard QWERTY layout, which
works as you'd expect it to, and the keyboard, though small, matches the full width of the tablet.
Of course, it's worth noting that not all Android apps will run on it
as well
as they do on mobile devices when the feature is launched; developers might need to optimize their software to
work better with
trackpads and physical keyboards.
Windows Precision
Trackpad support means you'll find the usual multi-touch gestures
work just
as well
as they do on any other Windows laptop.
According to sources familiar with Apple's plans, the iPhone 7's home button will
work in much the same way
as Apple's latest MacBook
trackpads.
It
works flawlessly
as expected and advertised but one very minor issue that I am facing with it is that I can not use my
Trackpad gestures to scroll through the Timeline (You can upvote on my feedback here).
