The City of Seattle manages the network of P - Patch community gardens — there are 50 + around town — and so with their help, the help of volunteer organizations like Seattle Works, and tireless work by those who wanted the garden to succeed (you'll meet them in a sec), the plot went from trash - ridden vacant lot to vibrant community garden.

We heard from great speakers about different branches of the legal profession: Emma McClure, a newly qualified solicitor at Swain & Co, spoke about her route to qualification and work as a public and prison law solicitor; Elizabeth Mottershaw, a pupil barrister at Garden Court North, offered her insight into life at the bar and how to secure pupillage; and Charlotte Wilson, a legal executive at Irwin Mitchell, discussed her decision to qualify through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) and her work in community care and Court of Protection.

The pride that homeowners put into their home shows through in the community, and that combination is just another way that Garden Communities works to bring you the ideal home.

For example, newly completed Riverfront at Cranford Station in Short Hills stares down at the intersection of South Avenue East and High Street with a presence that clearly shows that Garden Communities is committed to improving Short Hills and all the communities they work in.

I work in researching and propagating edible perennial plants and also in designing forest gardens - an ingenious system of growing food through an interconnected perennial plant community, modeled on a natural woodland.

It's inspiring to work with people who would trade a big private yard or a gourmet kitchen in exchange for a farmer's market or community garden around the corner.

Currently, they are working on projects in the areas of the internet of things, blockchain, renewable energy, community gardening, and building materials sciences.
