Unfortunately, these diets don't pay much attention to
sugar, flour, and other
refined carbohydrates, since the primary focus is on reducing meat, fat, and cholesterol, which proponents of these diets believe are the much
worse for your health
than carbohydrates are.
In other words, despite the overwhelming evidence that there is something particularly toxic about
sugar, the ADA only considers
sugar as a
refined carbohydrate and no
worse than flour or rice.
Other
than maybe you slowly eliminated
bad carbs and completely cut out
refined sugars — is there really any difference?
Well, here we've got empty calories that will go straight to your belly fat, and that are possibly even
WORSE for you
than plain old
