I'm not pointing to this tweet as a great example of anything, it's just a little something I like to do that helps remind folks that there are people behind the books they read, and those people would like to
write more books for more people to read.
Amazon's philosophy was the opposite: more writers

I've been doing a lot of reading on church history recently (

for Good), and it constantly amazes me how much of what we do «in church» is a result of tradition (so much
for Sola Scriptura) which developed 1000 - 1500 years ago as a result of a politician or priest who wanted

Problem definition is time - consuming, a deep journey into our own prejudices and hopes

One side effect of the research I've done in
writing the
book, is that when somebody presents 10K verses to support their claim, I can
write a short reply: «Thank you
for providing so much scriptural support that conclusively proves my position, and demonstrates that your position has no basis in scripture», and, if challenged, go through each cited verse, and, using one or
more specific techniques / methods of Bible study, show how the cited verse either refutes the position they present, or supports the position I present.
My one complaint is that the
book was not well organized, some of the chapters were poorly
written, and the terms
