For the past several years, I've been co-organizing a writing critique group called Northeast Los Angeles Writers Group (soon to change its name to Los Angeles
Writers Critique Group).
I currently serve Jackson Hole Writers in many different capacities during the annual Jackson Hole Writers Conference, as well as facilitate writing workshops and a bi-monthly
writers critique group during the entire year.

Many writing organizations run
critique / beta
groups within their mini-community, attempting to help
writers find good matches.
I think one thing that really makes my
critique group mates special is that every single one of them is constantly taking classes and reading books on the craft of writing so it's not like they think they're gifted
writers who don't have anything to learn.
