Writing under the pseudonym of Boz, Dickens made his name as a «humorous observer of the habits of London life in a series of articles» that he expanded into this novel, which
includes some familiar stories and
topics (a Christmas ghost story and Mr. Pickwick's stint in debtor's prison) that Dickens
wrote about in later novels.

All your tips are on the money, but here's a few more: send out news releases to
writing magazines and to your local press,
including parish pump magazines — everyone who finds out
about you is a potential reader, each with a network to recommend you to; look for opportunities to guest on
writing - related blogs; and see if you can wangle invitatiosn to speak to groups — eBooking is a hot
topic right now, and the stuff that interesting talks are made of.
Steve Jordon covers the people and businesses in banking, insurance and finance,
including Berkshire Hathaway and Warren Buffett, and
writes about a wide range of related
topics, from front porches to the economy to business ethics.
