The expedition was armed and sustainable, as reported
in WUWT here.
Surprisingly, I don't think any of the many dozens of
WUWT readers who commented picked up on the error, which makes me wonder about their level of climate sophistication.
A recent
WUWT article by Frank Lansner, August 5th 2010 has the heading «DMI polar data shows cooler Arctic temperature since 1958».
My problem is that I have heaps of Australian data, but nobody wants it — though I am corresponding finally
with WUWT moderators.
To borrow a line seen from time to time at the top of Anthony Watts»
WUWT blogs, «people send me stuff.»
Guest Post by Willis Eschenbach The recent post here on
WUWT about the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) has a lot of folks claiming that the PDO is useful for predicting the future of the climate... I don't think so myself, and this post is about why I don't think the PDO predicts the climate...
In fact simultaneously with the strengthening warming of the subsurface western Pacific is an intensification of the cold subsurface tongue at the east Pacific (
WUWT ENSO page).
The experiences of
WUWT commenters differs from mine and you may have access to different data, so we may each reach different conclusions.
The most activity came on April 24 - 27, after this climate blog was the first to report on the story we called: Russian Scientist: Expect Cooling — Pols Sitting On The Wrong Horse, hours
before WUWT -LSB-...]
Worse, that when «a physicist» had his slander removed from
WUWT because Mr. Watts didn't want the legal exposure of hosting such slander per se, «a physicist» rushed right over to this blog to repeat it and put Ms. Curry at the same risk.
But I don't
think WUWT is shocking in that respect.
