Whether I've been out for awhile or just made a quick trip to
the yard letting the dogs out, I want to be able to be able to get out of my boots quickly and try to remember warm sunny thoughts about my vacations during the summer.

Before I
let my
dogs out in the evening, I scan the
yard to make sure no rabbits are
out there.

yard to do his business, resolve to take him for a walk at least once a week.

out of there.
If you simply
let your
dog out in the
yard, you lose an opportunity to reinforce desirable behavior.
If you have
dogs in the house, it is best to take them on a walk or
let them
out in the
yard before bringing your cat in.
This is especially important with
dogs on invisible fences,
dogs that are
let out in the
yard without being walked by a person.
We want to
let the
dogs out and contain them in the back section of the
yard, but not
let them get to the fenced pasture area where the Great Pyr needs to stay.
In time, if you have a
yard, you can

dog out alone and simply go
out to clean up once a day.
Many owners make the mistake in thinking that just

yard or arranging a play date is sufficient exercise.
I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who

yard to go potty which is next to the street without being on a leash.

let small or aging

yard alone.
Strays — These occur from guardians who
let their pets roam; who don't spay / neuter them, so they look for opposite sex companionship; guardians who abandon their animals or never bother looking for them once they are gone; and by guardians who don't keep ID tags on their animals at all times (regardless of if the
dog is an inside - only
dog or if the
dog has never before gotten
out of the
yard).
This is the bark that even friendly
dogs let out when the doorbell rings, or if a stranger runs through the
yard.
Go
out and check your
yard for snakes before
letting your
dog outside and keep a close eye on them while they are
out.
I can
let Maxwell into our back
yard with his «friends» as we call our other 3
dogs and know that he is not going to sneak
out!
Whether you want to
let your
dog out to play in the
yard, give your cat access to the litter box in the laundry room, or
let some pets
out and keep other pets in, pet doors are a great solution to make life for you and your pet easier.
Check for: open windows or doors, ripped screens, uncovered air vents or drains, any cleaners or other toxins that may have been left behind by the previous owner inside and outside, and if you're
letting your
dog out in a
yard ensure it is secured with a fence he or she can't get under or through.
If you plan to
let your
dog out in the
yard to run and get his energy
out, you will need a fence that is secure and able to hold your
dog in, as this breed is also a runaway breed.
If you need to
let your
dog out during the night, turn on the patio lights first and scan the
yard visually before
letting releasing him.
If you have a fenced
yard,
let the
dog out to play or nap in the early morning sun each day.
Keep in mind, though, that
letting your
dog out in the
yard by himself or taking leisurely walks are not exercise.

The truth is that most
dogs don't exercise when they're in a
yard by themselves; they spend most of their time lying by the back door, waiting for their people to either
let them in or come
out and play with them.
My
dogs got
out 3 - 5 times a day, sometimes for 15 minutes, others for 45 minutes, they just need to walk up to back door to be
let in & someone is always watching them in
yard.
Just
letting your
dog run around the back
yard for a few hours is fine however if you spend time with him he will get more
out of it, both physically and mentally.
Wonderful location and the fenced in
yard was great for our
dogs (you can't leave
dogs out alone, but it was nice to
let them blow off some steam).
We were also able to get up first thing in the morning and
let the
dog out because their is a gate right beside our bedroom to the back
yard.
