When yeast has proofed, it has bubbled and started to smell like the
familiar yeast smell we associate with baking bread.
Their ears should be checked regularly to avoid a buildup of wax and debris which can result in an infection and you got it... a
stinky yeast smell!
@Anonymous : I lost counts of how many times I used this recipe, but without tasting
any yeast smell as a result.
@Lemon Drop If too much yeast is added or the dough was proofed for too long,
the yeast smell will develop.
But somehow
the yeast smell did not go away, which made it slightly unpleasant to eat... maybe I did not cook the muffins long enough?
Then, someone else can tweak a project like that and add a gene to make
their yeast smell like bananas.
