I made with with a mix of two different dals — moong (
yellow split lentil) and masoor (red lentil) along with couscous and a mix of different seasonal vegetables — green beans, baby carrots, and cauliflower.

I also swapped out the
lentils for
yellow split peas, which worked well, and doubled the lime juice.
Skin-less
lentils like
split yellow or pink
lentil when cooked properly gets very creamy, and thick.

I was thinking that dahl is made of
yellow split peas (because when I make it with curry it tastes exactly like it) but I just looked up dahl, and it can be made of a combo of
lentils, peas, and beans.
