It turns out you can find all kinds of dairy - free lovelies
at most
health food stores these days: (imagine my best Bubba voice) dairy free cream cheese spread, dairy free
yogurt, dairy free milks... you can make just about anything dairy free.
For the original batch we used Bulgarian
Yogurt Culture found
at the
health food store & saved a half cup or so for each subsequent batch.
Though you'll find tubfuls of chia pudding
at your local
health food store, it tastes especially good when cut with another texture like the
yogurt here.
Delicious, creamy
yogurt isn't just found
at the local grocery
store or
health food market, it can also be made
at home.
If you take an antibiotic, follow it up with a week of eating
yogurt or kefir daily, which contain live cultures of the probiotics (it should say on the container that it contains live cultures), or you can take a probiotic supplement, easily found
at your local
health food store.
Start drinking goat milk, goat cheese, goat
yogurt, etc. (I say goat because I don't expect there to be much yak or camel milk
at your local supermarket or
health food store).

at home with a starter.
