If we were making
yogurt out of milk, that liquid would be what's known as whey, but as it is, it's just coconut water.

The category also is expanding to include more than just
milk and meat — for example, California - based startup Ripple Foods, which makes products
out of pea protein, recently launched a Greek
yogurt and half - and - half.
As more Americans turn to the Internet to order their groceries, most still prefer to pick
out highly perishable items — a container
of yogurt, carton
of milk, or pound
of bacon — in person, according to a Morning Consult poll.
Sometimes I eat it right
out of the jar as a replacement for granola, other times I stir it up with some unsweetened almond
milk and eat it like oatmeal, and other times I add it to the top
of some coconut
yogurt and use it just like I would granola.
I used buttermilk instead
of regular
milk, used lemon
yogurt instead
of plain, added three over-ripe bananas and some flax seeds, and the muffins turned
out fabulously!
It turns
out you can find all kinds
of dairy - free lovelies at most health food stores these days: (imagine my best Bubba voice) dairy free cream cheese spread, dairy free
yogurt, dairy free
milks... you can make just about anything dairy free.
Forgot to buy coconut
milk so used greek
yogurt instead and grated apple instead
of apple sauce and corn starch for arrowroot flour (ok, I didn't have a few ingredients but it still came
out great Frosting is so good (yes, I licked my spatula clean) I came here via Pinterst now I need to check
out the rest
of your recipe.
If protein powder isn't your thing, you can sub in half or all
of the
milk with greek
yogurt for your protein boost, and if you're having this smoothie as a snack rather than a meal, you can just leave the protein powder
out entirely.
There are lots
of websites which discuss making raw
milk yogurt so you might want to check some
of them
out.
Subbed the bob red mill's gluten free four 1:1 baking flour, used extra oil in place
of milk and some goat
milk yogurt because that's what we had and still turned
out great!
I used whole fat / whole
milk Brown Cow plain
yogurt from the store to make mine a couple
of days, because I ran
out of my homemade stuff and it worked just fine.
I made a few adaptations based on what we had around the house: — Polenta instead
of just cornmeal... mainly because I live in Europe and covet my stone - ground cornmeal from home — Subbed in buttermilk / cream instead
of milk; both were close to their use - by dates — Regular
yogurt instead
of sour cream — Brown sugar instead
of regular sugar (and I thought 5 Tbsp
of brown sugar turned
out quite nicely)
Used 2 % Greek
yogurt and 2 %
milk instead
of whole and swapped
out a half cup
of AP flour for whole wheat flour.
I only had plain
yogurt (not greek) and used apple juice in place
of the
milk and they still came
out awesome!
Just a note that I used coconut
milk in place
of the buttermilk /
yogurt, and the muffins turned
out extremely delicious!
For these pops, I used
yogurt that I made
out of raw goat
milk from the Dancing Goat farm, with Seven Stars Farm
yogurt as a starter.

yogurts and
milks will fight it

of Australia's Australian Dairy Product Competition in March.
These soaked granola cereals can be eaten right
out of the bag or from the handy single serving cups, tossed into your
yogurt, or covered with
milk.
When you want to use the scrub base, scoop
out 1/4 cup into a small bowl, and stir in enough
of the liquid ingredients (vary it by what you have on hand —
yogurt and
milk are best, but water works) to make a paste.
This is still a pretty basic gluten - free buckwheat - based pancake at it's core (although the ingredient list still looks long, the pancakes are quick to throw together); I just swapped
out the
yogurt for a little more almond

FYI, you can also use an organic probiotic bill to and put it into the cashew cream / nut cream / or nut free hemp (any) seed cream... to to turn it into
yogurt / if you can't buy real Kefir Bacteria (Lactobacilli bacteria)- Its not dairy but is used to make
milk into Kefir and after its used to turn
milks into
yogurt, you can strain
out the original chunks
of bacteria (which is what we do here in Greece and then put the Kefir in the freezer so you can perpetually re-use it — while waiting for
yogurt to become cheese.
Simply thin
out plain
yogurt or sour cream with enough
milk until it is the consistency
of buttermilk.
People began eating
out more often and began to increase consumption
of other dairy products, namely
yogurt and cheese — versatile and convenient alternatives to fluid
milk.
We've figured
out how to make buttery fresh ricotta, aged nut
milk delicacies, creamy almond
milk yogurt, fantastic entrées and more — all
out of fresh nut
milk.
Calcium (think raw
milk, raw cheese,
yogurt, and kefir) balances
out the negative effects
of phytates.
You can leave
out the
yogurt completely (I'd swap in 1/4 cup
of milk for the
yogurt), but it won't be quite as dreamy creamy.
The
yogurt and sticky stuff will come
out easily once blended with the
milk and you won't have to scrape it
out of your measuring device when you're ready to move it; just use
yogurt >
milk > everything else as your order for adding stuff in; you can shake your table spoon around in the
milk to make sure you get every last bit
of honey or maple syrup
out.

3 tablespoons
of ball pectin did the trick (when the
milk was at its hottest point 180 and it dissolve immediately) and my
yogurt came
out thick and creamy!
My bad recipe did not call for any sweetener to feed the culture and only had me heat the
yogurt to 115 *; the instructions did not have me seperate
out a portion
of cooled
milk (110 * according them) to add the starter to, so I'm afraid it may have died because
of hot spots in the pan even though I stirred it well.
I guess my purchase stood
out just a tad compared to the typical Costco customer's purchase (maybe it was my pound
of organic spinach, or the organic eggs, guacamole, maple syrup, Greek
yogurt and vodka unsweetened almond
milk that tipped him off?)
Sophie - For some reason I have totally fine with
yogurt but I CAN NOT have
milk... I've done a bit
of research on why but I'll definitely try to find
out if whey is okay with me.
Mine calls for vanilla
yogurt (which I use plain
yogurt & add a small dash
of vanilla flavoring to cut
out the sugar), avocado, spinach, frozen mango & frozen pineapple pieces, and water or almond
milk if you prefer!
This smoothie is a refreshing and unique blend
of the two foods, balancing
out the strong cherry flavor with both coconut
milk and coconut flakes, along with a splash
of vanilla
yogurt for some added texture and taste.
(I just thin
out whole -
milk Greek
yogurt with a bit
of water and season it with a good pinch
of salt and a bit
of cracked pepper).
That said, if you're really in a pinch, or are cooking / baking something where buttermilk isn't the star player, a generous squeeze
of lemon juice in a cup
of milk or
yogurt thinned
out with
milk will add that acidic, citrusy tang you're looking for.
I did everything the same except I used soy
milk instead
of yogurt (didn't have any) and it turned
out so yummy and moist.

I like to soak my Superfood Burcha in almond
milk and coconut
yogurt over night with frozen blueberries so in the morning I just grab the jar
out of the fridge and go!
with a ground flax seed «egg» substituting the egg and using 2T full fat coconut
milk (from a can) in place
of the greek
yogurt and they turn
out just perfect!
Came
out perfect:) I hate when people change the whole recipe but here I just wanted to make do with what I had at home so since I didn't have whole - wheat flour I just used white flour, I used Turkish strained
yogurt which wasn't liquid enough so I had to add some extra
milk and I also doubled the spices (because you can never have enough cinnamon hehe I probably put about a tablespoon
of cinnamon and a tablespoon
of pumpkin spice which is basically cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg etc).
You also don't have to go
out of your way to buy organic
yogurt or organic
milk either.
You might try cutting
out all dairy products (
milk, cheese,
yogurt, butter) for a couple
of weeks to see if there's an improvement.

of yogurt, and nonfat
milk in containers larger than 12 ounces.
