The
cast is superb: Malkovich as the analyst Cox shows a true flair for comedy, Clooney is on top form here as the sleaze whose life intersects with Litzke almost by accident and Brad Pitt, playing a
much younger man than his true age, is brilliantly idiotic and brainless.
And the
cast members, now grown into
young adults and good actors, look like they enjoy running from trolls as
much as they enjoy the line readings.
Never mind that their names might not mean as
much to an audience as those of super-exes Cameron Diaz (she does Princess Fiona's voice) and Justin Timberlake (he joins the
cast as a
young King Arthur).
A dozen or more excellent character actors keep things fairly interesting, and the
cast includes everyone from the
Young Actor of the Moment, Timothee Chalamet (as a marginal member of Blocker's gang), to Rory Cochrane as Blocker's longtime friend, a ruined man with too
much blood on his hands.
There's lo - fi charm in the musical numbers and heartfelt turns from the
young cast but the story drifts along without offering
much that we haven't seen before.
Aided by a lively
young cast (headed by ex-Harry Potter star Emma Watson), the writer - director creates a film that entertains as
much as it appalls.

Midnight Special comes from the director of Mud which had some great performances by a
cast that starred an Academy Award winner and some of Hollywood's rising
young talent and this is pretty
much the same concept.
But while director Oliver Hirschbiegel («DasExperiment») very effectively takes youdeep inside Nazi Germany's crumbling heart and brings many infamous momentsacutely to life, his film doesn't offer
much in the way of new insight.The script is more of a textbook play - by - play than an examination of impulsesand psyches, and while the Hirschbiegel and his
cast add those dimensionsthrough their fine work, it seems the only way he could invest the audiencein these events was by seeking out a sympathetic minor character — inthe person of Hitler's
young secretary, Traudl Junge (Alexandra Maria Lara)-- and beef up her significance.
The rest of the
cast does mostly fine work with Ewan McGregor a relatively weak point and Abigail Breslin,
younger than nearly everyone in the
cast by about twenty years (or
much more in many cases), simply unable to hold her own against such towering thespians.
As shooting continues, Mitchell and Laurel becomes lovers and this compromises the project — smitten Mitchell begins skewing scenes toward his lady,
much to the dismay of the screenwriter and other
cast members (Cliff De
Young plays her older co-star).
Rounding out the
cast are the ever - reliable Brie Larson (Short Term 12) as Amy's
younger sister, Kim, and comedian Mike Birbiglia (Sleepwalk with Me) as Kim's husband, but they are as
much a part of what works in the film as a part of the problem.
It's not until
much later in the story, when another
young woman named Éponine (Samantha Barks, by far the best singer in the
cast) sings of her own vision of fulfilling what is in reality an unrequited love, that the film reaches the emotional peak of the scenes with Fantine (A montage of preparation at the midway point is rousing, though).
The Last Jedi gives the audience a diverse
cast for
young Star Wars fans to look up
much like Han, Leia, and Luke did for the older generation.
Once the bratty

much, they make you yearn for a real
cast (George Clooney, Robert De Niro, Sean Connery, Johnny Depp, etc.) in a real Vegas movie.

younger characters were seen as a means to getting the film greenlit.
As lame as Stone's lazily rehashed flourishes are, his biggest mistake here has less to do with his stale command of the camera and
much more to do with the
young cast he's assembled.
Whoever first said directors should «never work with kids or animals» might take some consolation that at least the

much of Baker and Chris Bergoch's screenplay was established on the page, and how many of the interactions here were improvised by the film's

For their parts, the
young cast of The Death Cure bring as
much heart to the film as is possible.
Also, the
cast is pretty
much stacked with talent, including Anya Taylor - Joy, who has proven to be an incredible actress at a
young age with her performance in «The Witch» and whose role as the AI in question should be suitably captivating.
Lagos draws strong performances from her
young cast, as well as David Oyelowo, who plays Ross» uncle and guardian, but they don't have
much to work with.
The conversations and issues coming from the script penned by Mohan, Jeffrey Brown and Egan Reich are all too familiar for anyone who's had a significant other, and the natural and authentic performances by this
young cast make it that
much more accessible and emotional.
There are some interesting plot developments (though by far the most amazing factor is that the
young cast haven't aged too
much in the three years between episodes) but it's clear that there's a lot of retconning going on.
However, it involves a new,
young (
much prettier)
cast taking over the roles from the famous 1966 - 69 TV series and the first six films (1979 - 1991).
It's also not the kind of movie that would normally interest me, but between the
casting of Shailene Woodley and the almost unanimous admiration for the John Green novel on which it's based, there's a certain air to the project that suggests it'll be
much better than the typical
young adult book adaptation.

young Tiago Marques and Sofia has a massive amount of experience in voice - overs having voiced characters in television series including Captain Scarlet, The Jungle Book, Angelina Ballerina and more besides, alongside roles in videogames such as Telltale's Wallace and Gromit episodic games, Rogue Trooper, Shinobido, Dragon Age II, Dragon Age: Inquisition, LEGO: The Hobbit and Bloodborne, amongst others; while Nicholas Boulton voices Richard Langham having voiced characters in Killzone 3, The Witcher 2, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward and
much more besides; Toby Longworth voices Marques having voiced Senator Lott Dodd and Gragra in Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace as well as videogames such as Tropico 5, Sacred 3, Risen 3: Titan Lords and more besides; Terry Wilton voices Father Simeone and Vlad having previously narrated the Trine games, alongside an incredibly talented
cast.

There are teenagers who perfectly fit the stereotypical image that the media loves so
much of comic - book fans, little kids who love anime,
young boys and girls out with their confused parents, cosplaying parents out with their confused children, entire families dressed up as the
cast of Firefly or as Star Wars characters,, bemused grandparents being lead around with a smile on their face that suggests while they are a little baffled by the entire thing they're having a good time, middle - aged men and women who look like they've just come straight from work and enjoy a good comic and every other type of human in - between.
