youth with disabilities involved in the juvenile justice system.
Seven years ago, IEL created a stem - and career - focused mentoring model for transition - age
youth with disabilities involved or at risk of becoming involved in the juvenile justice system.

with disabilities, English language learners, and
youth involved in the juvenile justice system (justice -
involved youth).
Information is derived from a web - based review of relevant literature as well as focus groups and surveys
involving 1,400 parents of
youth with and without
disabilities and 526 school personnel in ten schools across four states as part of a larger five year study of ILPs sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of
Disability Employment Policy.
This webinar will feature deep discussion on the importance of SEL for three traditionally underserved groups: students
with disabilities, English language learners, and
youth involved in the juvenile justice system.
However, targeted, evidence - based social - emotional learning training of educators working
with these historically under - served student populations, including students
with disabilities, English language learners, and
youth involved in the juvenile justice systems has potential to optimize developmental trajectories.
Each of the four MLC clinics provide free legal services to the most vulnerable populations — including people
with disabilities and chronic illness, members of the LGBTQ community, undocumented immigrants and refugees, children and
youth in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, and people
involved with the criminal justice system.
The program is provided
with families of specialty populations of all ages
involved with agencies that specialize in child welfare, mental health, substance abuse, developmental
disabilities, juvenile justice and crossover
youth.
