I sewed the circles on with a medium
zig zag stitch.
You are going to start off by taking 2 strips of different colors and place right sides together and stitch along the top (you can finish each edge with a Serged or
Zig Zag stitch as you go or when you have attached all the strips of fabric together).

My machine is really old too, but I just turn the
stitch length dial to the dot so the needle doesn't move forward or backward, but I've also just done the

Unless they are quite thin, sew just 2 to 3 layers together using a wide
