"Chromosome pairs" refers to sets of two similar structures found in the cells of our body, called chromosomes. We generally have 23 pairs of chromosomes, for a total of 46. Each pair is made up of one chromosome inherited from our mother and one from our father. These pairs contain essential genetic information that determine our physical traits and characteristics.
