"Homegrown terrorism" refers to acts of violence or terror carried out by individuals or groups within their own country. These individuals or groups are born or raised in that country and often radicalized by ideologies or beliefs that promote violence or hatred. Rather than being organized or directed by foreign organizations, they initiate attacks independently or in small groups within their own homeland.
