Not sure how the FWD based X-Drive will work, but on other similar architecture in Evoque, CRV, etc, the car is still an FWD car by default. (paultan.org)
Further research on the APK from the shield revealed that the game for in fact was running on an emulator, the most interesting thing to note here is that the Shield has a very similar architecture to the Switch, both devices share the Tegra X1 chip powered by NVIDIA. (thenerdmag.com)
