The scope of human knowledge only encompasses the earth (or something like 80 - 90 % if we consider we haven't explored the whole ocean) and a very, and I mean very small portion of our galaxy and even less of our universe; it's kind of hard to say something doesn't exist or that a negative is unprovable when we haven't explored the whole cookie jar.
