With time, the foundations
of oracy skills — discussion guidelines, discussion roles, and choosing the level of participation in structured talk tasks — build up a student's confidence around speaking.
She has a special interest in digital / eLearning and how it can be used as a tool to
enhance oracy skills.
Big Change is leading thinking around this through our support for projects which are broadening horizons for young people, and
developing oracy skills — and there is mounting evidence that non-cognitive skills such as communication, collaboration and team working are most sought after by employers when recruiting.

their oracy skills, School 21 students present their speeches to one or a small group of peers for feedback based on the four oracy strands: How are they emoting?
In secondary, they continue to develop
their oracy skills through public speaking.
