The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is not only a very good all - around tablet, but it also comes with a stylus and
active digitizer, which means it has best in class stylus drawing and handwriting technology.
Resistive multitouch is a nice affordable alternative to
an active digitizer.
The price of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a little steep, at $ 400, but that's mainly because of the stylus and
active digitizer.
Chippy and I have both said that we like the idea of
an active digitizer (disregarding the software hurdles), but we think it would be more useful in a larger device.
Also add that the CL900 and Q550, the devices I would have preferred in order to get into

1) Isn't
an active digitizer a must?
This 13.3 inch e-reader has a capacitive touchscreen display and is meant to be interested with via
the active digitizer stylus.
One of the big hyping factors regarding this new device is
the active digitizer Pen that will replace the capacitive one that shipped with the Surface 1 and 2.
The electronics are trivial — maybe $ 60 for case and components combined once tooled up, another $ 20 for the pen (though probably $ 60 more for
the active digitizers).
A key difference, however, is that the Galaxy Tab 3 won't have
an active digitizer nor supporting digital S - Pen like the Note model.
One nice aspect is it's
active digitizer, which works with a Dell - specific pen.
The 8 incher is codenamed M80TA that has been discovered in the wild with
an active digitizer and support for pen input for writing or drawing.
It doesn't have
the active digitizer, and also only has micro-usb.
So at this point, it doesn't sound like were talking about
an active digitizer (which is how almost all decent computer drawing pads work).
Have a look at the HTC Flyer, the first Android tablet equipped with
an active digitizer for serious digital inking.

I would call the massive 5.3 ″ screen way too big except that the Galaxy Note comes with
an active digitizer stylus which allows the user to write naturally and accurately on the Note's «Super» AMOLED display.
