I love
the horizontal planks on the walls, especially in that little lounging nook below the skylight.
All the walls were
horizontal planks, there were tons of windows and the orientation of the house on the land was perfect.
While most of my cabinets were finally painted right before Christmas (along with my family room walls and trim and part of
the horizontal planking in my little hall) my one «open cabinet» in the kitchen was not able to be painted as it had to have some finishing work done on the inside of it first.

Hi, I like both options, however, when I was looking at your first two photos the vertical planks drew my eyes to the ceiling whilst
the horizontal planks drew my eye through the dining room into the sunroom, making Kevin's piano the focal point.
The horizontal planks look more like an outside wall, and also since your ceilings aren't extra high, the vertical boards feel more proportionate.
On the wall that we wanted
