This year we are delighted to introduce Spotlight, a new section of
solo presentations of 20th century art from around the world.
Notably, it was the first
solo presentation by a Chinese artist to take place at the museum since it was founded in 2014.
Spotlight is a critically acclaimed section
for solo presentations of 20th - century work from all over the world, with a special focus on work made in the»60s and»70s.
The fair's 2018 edition also saw the launch of Residents, a new gallery programme dedicated to
solo presentations from invited galleries whose artists took part in a 4 - 8 week residency.
Thus, in addition to areas for small stands with
special solo presentations, there will also be medium - sized stands with carefully selected group exhibitions with a maximum of three artists.
There are also
more solo presentations in this sector, allowing visitors the chance to really immerse themselves in the work.
The majority of our exhibitions are
solo presentations by artists who are at a turning point or developmental stage of their practice.
Many of the artists have taken over entire hospital rooms
for solo presentations and site specific installations, with the two main floors of the exhibition divided in approach to human condition.

Things improve
with solo presentations of works by Gego, Martin Puryear and Mr. Hammons — his art is footnoted by a small 1938 wall piece made from found materials by Kurt Schwitters, one of the inventors of assemblage.
Last week, the gallery Ignacio Liprandi from Buenos Aires was showcasing his work
as solo presentation in the New Contemporaries section of Art Cologne 45.

Milan - based artist Luca Francesconi will
show solo presentation, Snake, Rice, Food Outlets at London's Jupiter Woods, opening March 11 and running till the end of the month.
With this exhibition the Astrup Fearnley Museum, in collaboration with Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, Denmark and with Sigmar Polke himself, will be showing the first
large solo presentation in Scandinavia of the work of this world famous artist.

The exhibition, featuring over 60 works spanning seven decades of Hartung's career, is the most
important solo presentation of the artist in New York since his solo exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1975.
The artist received a Master's Degree in Fine Arts from Columbia University in 2000, and has staged
numerous solo presentations at institutional venues including The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, Missouri (2015); Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Texas (2012 and 2007); Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, Colorado (2009 - 2010) and Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Newcastle (2005).

notable solo presentations at Frieze include Tracey Emin (Xavier Hufkens gallery, Brussels), Theaster Gates (Richard Gray Gallery, New York), David Hockney (two shows with Pace, New York; and one with Offer Waterman, London) and Betye Saar (Roberts Projects, Los Angeles).
This marks her first
solo presentation on the West Coast since the 2011 retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles and offers a broad overview of her output and ethos across the last three decades.
