The word
"pineal" refers to the small gland located in the brain, called the
pineal gland. It is responsible for producing a hormone called melatonin, which helps regulate our sleep and wake cycles.

Sodium fluoride, present in your drinking water and certain store - bought products, and other sources such as Prozac, antibiotics or non-stick cookware could all be contributing to the alarming increase in
pineal gland calcification.
Melanopsin cells in mammals are specialized for measuring ambient illumination, contributing to visual discrimination [8,9], and driving a wide variety of physiological responses including, but not restricted to: synchronization of circadian clocks to light: dark cycles, regulation of pupil size, modulation of sleep and suppression
of pineal melatonin production [10 — 14].
In the chick
pineal body, activity of the melatonin - forming enzyme hydroxyindole - O - methyl transferase is greater in the light than in darkness.
In 2001, the Journal of
Pineal Research published a clinical stud which concluded that melatonin, either alone or in combination with a drug called fluoxetine, reduced pain symptoms associated with fibromyalgia, which helped the patients experience better sleep.
The photosensitive
pineal organ is found in a number of lower vertebrates such as fishes and frogs, the researchers explain.
Activity of the melatoninforming enzyme, hydroxyindole - O - methyltransferase, in rat
pineal is increased when the animal is exposed to continuous darkness, and it is decreased by exposure to continuous light.
Pineal region tumors represent a rare and challenging problem to pediatric specialists.
Following intravenous infusion of tritiated norepinephrine,
rat pineals were prepared for combined autoradiography and electron microscopy.
In contrast to how this neurotransmitter functions in the brain, however,
pineal serotonin is just a chemical precursor of melatonin; subsequent biochemical reactions in this gland are necessary to convert it to melatonin.
On 02/15/13 I was diagnosed with a 12
mm Pineal Gland Cyst after a sever migraine.
However, the
fish pineal gland seems to have all the elements for the generation of circadian rhythmicity.
The light - induced transcriptome of the
zebrafish pineal gland reveals complex regulation of the circadian clockwork by light.
It's estimated to be one - third of an inch long, and is made up of
unique pineal cells and neuroglial cells that help support the gland.
There is evidence that goji berries contain high levels of sesquiterpenoids which stimulate the pituitary and
pineal hands resulting in increased production of HGH.
This is because the «master» endocrine glands, the pituitary, hypothalamus, and
pineal reside in the skull.
Melatonin is the sleep hormone, secreted by the pea -
sized pineal gland in your brain.
According to Dr. J. Durlach, the biological clock and magnesium status are linked, and a balanced magnesium status is important for the function of the
mysterious pineal gland.

In one study, rats with their melatonin - producing
pineal glands surgically removed had greater brain damage after strokes and seizures than rats with adequate melatonin levels.
In the Journal of
Pineal Research, scientists from the University of Granada Institute for Neuroscience, the Hospital Carlos III, Madrid, and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio (USA) have revealed, for the first time, the previously unknown enigma of why melatonin has metabolic benefits in treating diabetes and hyperlipidemia.
Consuming sleep hormone melatonin may control weight gain by stimulating «beige fat», suggests a study published in the Journal
of Pineal Research.

Pineal region tumors: This group of tumors includes germ cell tumors, germinomas, non-germinomatous germ cell tumors, embryonal cell tumor, yolk sac tumors, teratomas (immature vs. mature), pinealoblastomas, and pineocytomas.
It's produced in a predictable daily rhythm by
the pineal gland, with levels climbing after dark and ebbing after dawn.
Lucretius thought that the soul nestled in the human breast; Descartes located it in
the pineal gland; and process theologian John Cobb, following Alfred North Whitehead, hopes to find mind wandering as a thread through the «interstices of the brain,» But if we are truly dealing with metaphysics, then the mind and the soul, like the risen Christ, will not be anywhere, but holistically related to the body.
And those who do not believe because
you pineal gland is too calcified to see that our very existence is evidence, go on disbelieving.
A different theory postulates that spiritual experiences are triggered by psychedelics being absorbed by
the pineal gland, Ponder on the implcations of both of those theories being falsified, and found not - wanting.
Descartes attempts to explain such interactions — in particular, sense perception — by appealing to the unusual powers of
the pineal gland.
The water they're selling us are polluted with lead based things and fluoride, which can shut down
the pineal gland.
Some scientists speculate that the increased light during the summer affects
the pineal gland, leading to decreased melatonin production and a reduction in the release of follicle - stimulating hormone, which makes it more likely for an egg to split or two eggs to be released.
Melatonin is a hormone produced by
the pineal gland in the brain.
Melatonin, produced by
the pineal gland in the brain, helps set the body's circadian rhythm.
Melatonin: This naturally - occurring hormone is secreted by a part of the brain called

The pineal gland produces melatonin from serotonin, causing a decrease in serotonin and increase in melatonin during sleep.
The pineal gland balances this out, but fluoride upsets that balance.
It is made by

But many modern reptiles have a so - called third eye,
