Gently tug on
each side of your braid simultaneously to create the illusion of thickness.
Bonus variation: After step 5, keep taking hair from
either side of the braid until you have no hair for this full side braid look.
Step 4: Gently pull
each side of the braid outward to «fatten» them and give them a fuller look.
(The reason I love Dutch braid is because it pops out more, and you can make the braid look thicker and fluffier by gently pulling
the sides of the braid outward.)
do you take hair from the large section when doing
both sides of the braid or just when you are braiding the back strand?
Make it a little more disheveled by pulling on
the sides of the braid to widen it.
So continue crossing the left strand over the middle but don't add in any new sections on
this side of the braid and this technique will create the lace braid.
Now you're going to begin pulling on
either side of your braid to loosen it and make it appear more «messy».
