For this piece I painted the insides and
sides of the drawers with Fusion Mineral Paint in Prairie Sunset — the colour you helped me choose!
Measure, mark and position the drawer face so that there is approximately 1/2» space on all 4
sides of the drawer face from the edge of the drawer sides.
I really love to highlight the
exterior sides of the drawers since they usually look bare and forlorn when pulled out as compared to a fresh new body redesign.
Run all four
sides of the drawer front board through the table saw to cut the board at an angle but leave the center front flat.
Position the first drawer facedown on the paper, lining up one
side of the drawer with the edge of the paper to ensure a straight cut.
I particularly like the pretty paper decoupaged on
the sides of the drawers.

the sides of the drawers so that when the drawers are open all that beautiful goodness is out there for all to see!
Love the addition of the paper to
the sides of the drawers.
Each side of the pyramid is a separate cabinet, each with its own secret compartment and three side sliding drawers, the weight of each drawer supported by only one runner bespoke and attached to
the side of each drawer.

I picked Clara Damask wallpaper, which has a lovely raised texture and glued it on

Quick question or two — why did you paint
the sides of the drawers before you decoupaged the paper onto them?
Following the instructions, install bottom drawer slides by attaching them to
the sides of the drawer carcass first then measuring and attaching the inside track to the side panel with the screws provided and a level.
For example, on the top of a drawer or
side of a drawer.
Measure 5 1/2» from
either side of the drawer face and exactly half - way from the top and bottom (about 3 1/2»).

While researching how to install them I learned that you have to have a 1/2 ″ space on
each side of drawer to mount the slides.
According to the measurements in the plans there is a 1 ″ gap on
each side of the drawer.
