The great thing is that blackberries have very little sugar, so one salad serving * is only around 6 grams
of sugar total.
However, for my purposes when I calculated out the carb content of the whole bottle there was less than 3 TBS of
sugar total so for me it was worth it to buy prepackaged rather than make my own in this case.
Was out of honey, and didn't have palm sugar, so I tried 1/4 c
br sugar total plus sprinkled a little turbinado sugar on top.

of sugar total — it also helps with browning)
There's 4g of
sugar total, and the majority of that will come from HFCS.
For these muffins I've actually used raw cane sugar which has a higher glycemic value than say, coconut palm sugar but I wanted a light colour in these muffins, but I only used 1/4 cup of
sugar total.
When I see
the sugar total on the labels I cringe too!
