People with higher percentage of body fat might experience these drops and rises of sugar level more
often than leaner people.
In fact, research shows that obese individuals sit for an average of 2 hours longer each
day than lean people do (5).
Interestingly, obese people have different types of
microbes than lean people, and when they lose weight, their mircobiota change.
They chose to study obese - er subjects (BMI 38, compared to 34 in the Hollander study) because obese subjects lose fat more
readily than lean people, so if the study is designed to measure fat loss, then it is better to select a population of subjects where more fat loss is predicted.
Weight loss: It has been shown that obese people have different gut
bacteria than lean people.4 Scientists believe gut bacteria are important in determining body fatness.

than the lean people.
