accept owner surrendered dogs and will place them for adoption if they pass our behavioral and medical evaluations.

automatically accept the owners as head of the pack, but may have some struggles coming to terms with the pack hierarchy with other dogs in the household (with cats, they usually let the dogs know pretty quickly!).
