We carefully evaluate each dog for behavior issues and do
not accept any dog into our program that shows aggression towards people or other dogs.
We do not
accept dogs into the rescue program unless we have a foster home confirmed for them.
Our experience shows that most law enforcement K - 9 units do not
accept dogs from the public.
Due to the nature of our business, we do not
accept any dogs with health conditions that are contagious to other dogs.
So while the science has not supported the idea of
accepting dogs as hypoallergenic, the market will more than likely continue to make the claim.
Because of this, we can
only accept dogs who are social / non reactive to other dogs, are crate trained and are under 60 lbs.
It is possible for a dog to live in harmony with another dog, yet not
accept dogs who do not live in the household and vice versa.
Although we would love to
accept all dogs in need, our acceptance of your companion will depend upon available foster space.
If the facility you're
considering accepts all dogs whether they are known to be aggressive or not, or whether they are fixed or not, you need to know this in advance.
We will not reject any dog due to age or health reasons and
often accept dogs with temperament and / or medical issues.
As a general rule we do not
accept dogs directly from the public except under extreme circumstances, which are considered on a case by case basis.
* Due to space and storage limitations, we can no longer
accept dog crates, kennels or cages of any kind.
We are also able to help other organizations who have more dogs than they can handle
by accepting dogs from them.
They
rarely accept dogs with special needs or aggression because most of the dogs we take in are placed in foster homes until they find their forever homes.
The buyer needs to understand that in most
cases accepting the dog back is a burden taken on for the benefit of the dog and is not a benefit to the breeder.
However, we are
still accepting dog and cat food donations which we use to support our low - income pet food bank.
Providing a stress - free environment for your
pet accepting your dog for what he now looks like is important for the mental health of your four - legged friend.
Other notes: Program is a combination of referral (making contacts between dog's owner and possible adopter) and full service (program
legally accepting the dog).
We are an all - breed rescue and will
accept dogs of any breed into foster care as long as we have a willing and open home available!
