I have a beautiful, light, clean, rustic cowboy room planned in my head... it starts with new floors,
vertical planked walls and a dresser makeover.
Mirror Labyrinth NY is made with equidistantly spaced
vertical planks of mirror - polished stainless steel.
we have just built our house & we're almost at second fix carpentry stage and i had originally planned on a salvaged brick wall but i have that in our dining room and it was workin out too expensive, so then i
thought vertical planks but i much rather the horizontal planks now since seeing them on your blog - thank you for the wonderful inspiration.
Our home's woodwork and cabinets and wainscoting and
vertical planking are all painted Benjamin Moore Atrium White.
Do you just butt the lower edge of the molding against the top of
the vertical planks and, what, caulk the seam?
I am really leaning towards
the vertical planked walls, and I think painting the tub out white again will create the illusion of more space.
I knew I wanted the actual brick on the fireplace painted black but wasn't sure what to do with
the vertical planks above it that were in place when we moved in.
I love
the vertical plank doors, but I would like shakers in that location with the shiplap so the lines don't compete for attention.
The vertical planks are sexy!
My vote is for
the vertical planks — both are so pretty, but I agree with those who have noted that the vertical boards will really give your beautiful room the feeling of more height and a more airy quality.
Hi, I like both options, however, when I was looking at your first two photos
the vertical planks drew my eyes to the ceiling whilst the horizontal planks drew my eye through the dining room into the sunroom, making Kevin's piano the focal point.
I like
the vertical planks above the fireplace though.
I love both styles but going by your mock - up's I prefer
the vertical planking.
One main reason I like the Horizontal on the main walls is when looking at the photo my eye was drawn through the dining area into the sunroom and Kevin's piano became a focal point, where as looking at
the vertical plank photo my eye was drawn to the ceiling.
Love the horizontal in kitchen and, if adding built - ins on long wall in living, think
the vertical planks would work well there.
I also loved the bedroom with
the vertical planks with the small wood slats on top.
Does it need 1/4 round or
a vertical plank at the edge?
