One is already playing out on blogs attacking those concerned about the building human
warming influence on climate.
This is important since high, thin clouds do not reflect incoming sunlight and are a
net warming influence while the reverse is true of low, bright clouds.
A less active sun would probably have a small cooling effect on earth's temperature, if man - made greenhouse gases weren't having a much
bigger warming influence.
Global warming would seem to be a much greater threat than we thought, with very negative results from the feedback loop of
warming influencing carbon dioxide production.
The combined anthropogenic RF is estimated to be +1.6 -LSB--- 1.0, +0.8] 2 W m — 2, indicating that, since 1750, it is extremely likely that humans have exerted a
substantial warming influence on climate.
For those out there seeing any talk of a human
warming influence as a hoax, it's also useful to note that this intellectual tussle over climate sensitivity is over how much human - produced greenhouse gases will warm the world, not if they can do so.
Here's the second (and final) installment from Andrew A. Lacis of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies providing more detail on his view of the evidence showing a
human warming influence on the climate.
Some researchers suspect
Arctic warming influences weather in the mid-latitudes because as the pole heats rapidly, the temperature difference between it and the equator is shrinking.
Dr. Dlugokencky has told me previously that, for the moment, it appears that methane releases from warming Arctic soils and other sources constitute a potentially
amplifying warming influence, in which warming releases more gases that contribute to further warming.
We estimate that China's temperature increased by 1.44 °C (90 % confidence interval 1.22 — 1.66 °C) over the period 1961 — 2013 and that
urban warming influences account for about a third of this observed warming, 0.49 °C (0.12 — 0.86 °C).
Read the journal article:
Warming influence by the ratio of black carbon to sulphate and the black carbon source Like this?
Because of the first of these reasons, were we to abruptly halt all emissions now, the sulfate aerosols would rapidly be removed from the atmosphere by precipitation whereas the CO2 concentration would remain elevated, and so there would be a significant
further warming influence just as a result of past emissions; this warming would lead to the quite significant global warming that Lindzen mentions.
If a forest covers a snowy expanse, «that has a
strong warming influence,» he notes, because of little cloud cover resulting from less efficiency in evaporating water.
It is a European style natural sanctuary designed in muted grey and earthy tones
with warm influences of lavender and honey, linking to the beehives at the hotel.
Look at how hard it's been gaining global agreement on a path to limiting humanity's largely
unintended warming influence through the buildup of heat - trapping emissions produced by our growth spurt.
This whole argument is just one big RED HERRING in the context of the scientific consensus that humans are influencing the climate and making it warmer
I don't think there was much prior uncertainty in the literature over the general notion that orbital forcing changes were an initiating factor and that consequent rises in CO2 contributed a major
subsequent warming influence, but the timing (regional vs global) and the interaction between the hemispheres has not been well illuminated.
The researchers foresee a substantial additional
local warming influence from this change in landscapes, with the darker foliage absorbing sunlight that would otherwise be reflected back to space.
One - third of all Man's
supposed warming influence on climate since 1750 has occurred since the late 1990s, yet satellites show scarce a flicker of global warming in close to 19 years.
Assuming IPCC processes of heat distribution subsequent to warming due to CO2 are correct, observations indicate that the
actual warming influence of CO2 is 4 / 7th of IPCC base assumptions.
«The global
warming influence provides a new background level that increases the risk of future enhancements in hurricane activity,» Trenberth says.
Unlike extremely doubtful human
warming influence upon Antarctic glaciers, recent man - made cooling of the political climate is indisputable.
Now, adding to this miserably
low warming influence of CO2 is the recent admission by establishment climate science that natural climatic forces have a powerful say in the trend of global temperatures, regardless of human CO2 emissions.
During the same period, the terminus of the glacier thinned.2 The correlation of these glacial changes with rising temperatures implies that
warming influences glacier motion almost immediately.1, 2,7,8
If the timing of such cycles combine to mask warming, can we reasonably conclude that when those cycles swing back and
warming influences coincide there'll be a lot of apparent warming over a short period?
I have had several inquiries into what the remaining warming would look like if I incorporated the potential effect of
non-climatic warming influences (e.g., urbanization, other landscape changes, instrument changes, network quality, etc.).
I'll then back the 15 %
warming influence from stratospheric water vapor changes since 1980 out of the «corrected» data in Figure 2.
