If corporate worship is replaced by personal worship; if corporate Biblical teaching is replaced by regular personal Bible reading, mediation, and God - craving; and, if church fellowship is replaced by fellowship in general, I believe that one's faith can be strengthened by a stepping away from church — especially stepping away from a spiritually abusive church.
