A
little more oat flour should work just fine, or you could even just try leaving it out altogether and maybe use a little less almond milk.
These bars can easily be made vegan by swapping out the protein powder for a vegan protein powder
for more oat flour.
If the batter appears too runny,
add more oat flour, about 2 tablespoons should be enough.
If you
make more oat flour than your recipe calls for or just want to have some on hand, store it in an airtight container in a cool dry place if you're using it soon or store it in the freezer to extend its shelf life.
If you're up for some recipe - testing, you can try the agave substitution and just add a couple
tablespoons more oat flour and a couple tablespoons more peanut butter I hope you like the recipe!
You might need to add up to 1/2
cup more oat flour to the mix until you have a pliable dough.

use more oat flour inplace of buckwheat but you really don't taste it with the cacao.

The amount of milk you'll want to add depends on how thick / runny you like your waffle batter — it's forgiving, so if you feel like you made it too runny, just add a little
more oat flour, and same thing with if it's too thick, just add a little more almond milk.
If it's too wet, add
more oat flour 1 Tbsp.

I added a little
more oat flour, a little less whole wheat, and quadrupled the zest in hopes of them coming out a little less wheat - y.
This recipe is easily adaptable so if you're not a fan of wholemeal then simply replace it with
more oat flour.
Many gluten free flours can replace brown rice flour (like sorghum flour,
more oat flour, quinoa flour, etc), I just like the mild flavor of brown rice flour.
If it's not thick enough, you can add
more oat flour.
