I had to retire my brown boots this year, but I plan to always keep both a black and brown pair
as part of my closet.
Instead of ignoring those pieces, I pushed them to one side, instead moving the items I do plan to wear a lot into the most
accessible part of my closet.
That's the
best part of the Closet Factory system... the kid space we've designated won't go unused as they get bigger.
Of course, I wouldn't mind if one section could be storage
for part of my closet (hey — go for the gold right??)

years part of my closet and which I have gladly re-worn over and over again and styled with new additions too..
One of my absolute favorite places to shop is from Shopbop, and has been for several years so a major

For the past few years,
the part of my closet that consistently bummed me out was my tees and tanks.
This classic button - down should be
a part of every closet.
But believe it or not, a red striped tee was not
a part of my closet until recently.
So, last year I decided it was time to add some color to
that part of my closet and I got hooked.
I'm going to try to wear some more dresses this month because
that part of my closet has been neglected.

Our next project is going to be a lot more work though — we want to add a shower to the 1/2 bath in our room, which means taking out
part of the closet, moving the sink and toilet, and re-dry-walling, tiling, painting, etc..
