Shot in Florida by director George McCowan, Frogs plays to its location and drops Southern Gothic into its stew, but never
quite brings it to a simmer.
Begin by soaking a few pieces of kombu seaweed in several cups of water for 15 - 30 minutes and
bring it to a simmer with a few slices of ginger.
You combine equal parts sugar and water (in this case, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water) and
bring it to a simmer in a saucepan with the flavoring ingredient (in this case, a big handful of fresh thyme sprigs).
Place the mixture on the stove over medium - high heat and
bring it to a simmer.
Add the seafood stock to the saucepan and put it on medium heat and
bring it to a simmer.
Put the saucepan on medium heat and
bring it to a simmer.
Stir in the gravy and
bring it to a simmer.
For the next 30 minutes continue this process of adding in the broth, 1 cup at a time,
bringing it to a simmer, stirring frequently and allowing the the liquid to absorb.
While the tomatoes roasted I put all spices directly in the vinegar,
brought it to a simmer, put the lid on and turned the heat off.
Bring it to a simmer and let cook for 25 - 30 minutes, until cooked through.
Put the chicken in it and
bring it to a simmer.
To use the double boiler, add water to the pan and
bring it to a simmer, then place the bowl on top and fill it with whatever you intend to cook or melt.
When I was almost ready to serve the meal I poured the sauce into a small sauce pan and added some hoisin sauce and the peanut butter and
brought it to a simmer.
Bring it to a simmer and cook for 5 - 10 minutes depending on how thick or runny you want the sauce.
After half an hour, fill a medium pot with water and
bring it to simmer.
Combine the Marinara ingredients together in a small sauce pan and
bring them to a simmer over med - low heat.
Fill a medium saucepan with water and
bring it to a simmer.
Bring it to a simmer over medium heat and cook, stirring, for five minutes.
Add all the ingredients into a saucepan and
bring it to a simmer.
There is no need to
bring it to a simmer.
Stir in the wine and
bring it to a simmer.
When reheating, either
bring it to a simmer over medium low heat and / or whisk with warm water to thin it out again.
Start the gravy in a small - medium saucepan by lining the pan with 1 T. of Light Coconut Milk,
bring it to a simmer over medium heat.
Add one cup of broth and
bring it to a simmer.
Toss in 2 smashed garlic cloves and then put the lid on the pot and
bring it to a simmer.
Return the pork stock to medium - high heat and
bring it to a simmer.
For the blood orange curd: 75 g blood orange juice zest of one blood orange 75 g sugar pinch of salt 4 egg yolks 70 g butter, at room temperature Fill a medium saucepan with water and
bring it to a simmer.
At this point, you can either enjoy it as is or warm it up by transferring the smoothie to a small saucepan set over medium heat and
bringing it to a simmer or boil, depending on how hot you want it.
To get started, I fill a large, shallow sauté pan with an inch or so of water and
bring it to a simmer.
If you turned it off, turn it back on and
bring it to a simmer.
After the sugar is fairly dissolved, turn your temperature up to med - high heat,
bringing it to a simmer.
Create a small double boiler by filling a medium saucepan with about 2 inches of water and
bringing it to a simmer.
Bring it to a simmer and pop a perspex bowl (that will fit) on top.
I brought it all to a simmer for a few minutes, then took out the bay leaf and immersion - blended it.
To use your homemade double boiler, add water to the pan and
bring it to a simmer, then place the bowl on top and fill it with your ingredients as outlined above.
