Instead, say in a mildly disappointed voice, «Poop /
pee goes in the potty,» and help your child clean it up by placing your hand over his.
When you get the signal or see the pee / poo dance, sit your baby down on the potty and say «
poo goes in the potty.»
When the baby
does go in the potty (which may not even happen the first day), respond with exaggerated excitement, jump up and down and congratulate her.
