Just letting you know that I've really been enjoying the kefir grains and making fruit -
infused kefir water.
I haven't stopped using the grains since I purchased them; I just keep starting another batch
of kefir water, one quart after another.
Hold off of kombucha and
kefir water for now, as these do contain trace amounts of sugar and can derail your sugar - detox.
The kefir grains that you strained out earlier can be stored in a smaller jar, in the fridge in sugar water or the
extra kefir water you will have after you merge the two jars into one.
Receiving them hydrated sure makes a difference and I have been enjoying a this
wonderful kefir water everyday!
Place equal amounts flour (I like whole wheat) and
kefir water in a Fido or mason jar.

of kefir water with it, my kids and I really like it.

kefir water, add to tomato mixture and blend until tomato sauce reaches desired consistency.

Kelsey, could you also mention that you can put your kefir grains «to sleep»... in case you get overwhelmed with
kefir water.
If you can't get raw milk, you can make the mayo with the same amount of
kefir water or milk.

You can also throw half a washed, pastured egg shell into
the kefir water.
I don't care for the flavor it gives
the kefir water, but every once in a while to help promote growth I'm fine with it.

thank u for a quick response the dough looks like wet sand (i'm on my second day) and im using scale to measure the ingredient but i did nt have
kefir water... shuld i add more water?

the kefir water with 2 tbsp from a «ready» sourdough starter (gluten free of course) or just skip it, both the kefir water and the «ready» sourdough.

I have taken
some kefir water that I made every morning for 6 days and after the second days my whole body start to get really itchy and I can't sleep for 4 days now.
From my observations, and from other people's experience, it looks like many of the benefits of
the kefir water come from the fact that it is a great remedy for fighting fungal infections.
Since a rose would still smell as sweet, we also assume that
kefir water has much of the same benefit that lead to its cultivation and sharing since ancient times.
The key is to taste
the kefir water.
Put
the kefir water in a fresh bottle along with any flavorings and allow it to sit for a second ferment.
* I always used raw sugar for
my kefir water, but in the winter months, when the temperatures are much cooler, your kefir grains might need refined white sugar because it's easier for the kefir to digest.
If you use a bit of egg shell in
your kefir water, omit it for the first batch.
* A slice of lemon in
the kefir water helps to balance the Ph of the water.
* If
your kefir water turns slimy, do not drink it since the balance of yeasts and sugars is off.
