If there's no smoked flour available, I bet a pinch of
smoked paprika with regular rye flour would work just as well.
* A half - teaspoon
of paprika is just not enough to flavor a whole chicken.
If for some reason you don't have chili powder at all, I'm betting this would also be good
with paprika in its place.
I made mine with
sweet paprika for a kid - friendly version, and I think that allowed the rest of the ingredients to shine through even better.
I love the addition of smoke
paprika in this recipe.
Instead, I added more spices (1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp cumin, 1

paprika through coriander) on top and stir to create a loose, fragrant paste.
Ingredients:
organic paprika, organic cumin, organic garlic, organic onion, organic pepper, and organic cayenne pepper.
Also, be careful with the spices... I used about 1/2 T cumin and 1/2
T paprika, along with salt and pepper.
As I've discovered in the past, sweet potatoes and smoky
paprika go really, really well together.
