Top with strips of a quick and nutty «crust» — made
from raw cashew butter, agave and almond meal — to make it even more pie - like.
I just had pan grilled chicken with brown rice (soaked 2 hours with lemon juice) and a little bit of
raw cashew butter on top.
Just a suggestion I've seen in all my raw cookbooks, and one I've done before: you can
use raw cashew butter in place of the soaked cashews.
In place of the soaked cashews, you can substitute two tablespoons
of raw cashew butter, tahini or oil of choice.
I used
raw cashew butter instead of PB, and a mixture of coconut nectar, stevia, and maple extract in place of the maple syrup.

I mix, 1/2 & 1/2, natural peanut butter (mine is Central Market brand that contains only dry roasted peanut) and
Artisana raw cashew butter (only ingredient is raw cashews).
It's harder to find, unless you have a natural foods store, but it's best to use
RAW cashew butter if you want this truly raw (the label will specify if it's raw or not).
Artisana is my favorite brand of
raw cashew butter since they properly pre-soak all their nuts before making them into a raw nut butter.
You can make cashew milk with raw cashews, so why wouldn't you be able to use raw cashew butter?!

I used a heavy 1/4 c of
raw cashew butter instead of soaking the cashews, i homemade the garlic hummus, i added corn per another commenter's suggestion (it offset the saltiness very well), and i used my 8 c food processor because its more powerful than my blender (a little messy so i weighed it down with a cast iron).

of raw cashew butter in place of plant - based protein powder for more creaminess, texture, and for a bit more calories and protein to help keep you full and feel more like a traditional shake.

Depending on your cupboard stores you can swankify it by using all raw ingredients e.g. grinding your own almonds for the crust and using raw tahini or
raw cashew butter in it.
