I added a tablespoon of melted coconut oil so they did
n't stick to my hands when I rolled them and also because I wanted to roll them in coconut.
If your dough is too wet, add in a few tablespoons of oats and stir until the dough doesn't
stick to your hands like glue.
Not sure how they will wash / wear, but will
stick to hand washing and drying as other reviews suggested to be safe!
To prevent the marshmallow cereal mixture
from sticking to your hands, generously spray hands and fingers with non-stick cooking spray.
To know how wet the dough should be, when you do the brief kneading right in the bowl, the dough should not be
sticking to your hand much.
I get the crazy glue stuck all over my fingers, and of course, the black cat hair then sticks to the glue - which means I've got patchy black fur
stuck to my hands for days (including the palms... I know... weird, right?)
Turn out on a generously floured surface and knead for 6 - 8 minutes, adding small amounts of flour to surface until dough
stops sticking to your hands and counter.
Using damp hands (to prevent the chicken mixture from
sticking to your hands while forming the patties), shape chicken sausage mixture into eight 3» - diameter patties (scant 2 1/2 oz.
Lightly grease the counter with non-stick cooking spray, dump dough onto the greased surface and divide into 12 equal pieces (if dough
sticks to your hand then lightly grease your hands too).
Tip for rolling the balls, I would use gloves or just put your hand inside a Ziploc bag, so
nothing sticks to your hands & makes rolling easier!
TIP: In case you're wondering why I recommend sugar - free Jello, I find that it doesn't
stick to hands as much as regular Jello.
It will be very sticky, similar in texture to a milky biscuit dough; do not be surprised if you have quite a
bit sticking to your hands.
Should I rip the molding from my fingers and endure the possibility of all the skin being ripped from my fingertips or explain to everyone in Nashville why I had three feet of quarter
round stuck to my hands.
If you find the dough is
sticking to your hands like crazy, you can either flour your hands, or mix some additional flour into the dough to absorb some of the moisture (this would be the better option for these particular cookies as any excess flour on the tops of the cookies from your fingers would be visible after they have baked).
